Bon Voyage

1 1/2oz Vodka, 1oz Galliano, 1oz Apricot Brandy, 3oz OJ and 2oz Pineapple.

Day 24 of my lock down cocktail countdown and time to use my Christmas pressie from my Gastrognome. I’m not being totally true to the recipe as I’m not blending it but shaking and serving with ice

Bakewell Tart Sour

30ml Cognac, 30ml Disaronno Amaretto, 30ml Maraschino cherry juice, 15ml lemon juice, a dash of Angostura bitters and a Maraschino cherry or two to garnish

Day 23 of my lock down cocktail countdown and here is something a little more unusual. When ever I get to the last cherry in the jar and have to open a new one this is my little treat using the left over juice from the cherryless jar.

The Italian Sour

60ml Don Julio Blanco, 30ml Galliano L’Autentico, 30ml Lemon, 15ml simple, 2 dashes Angostura, 15ml egg white and a splash of soda

We spent a very memorable evening in October last in Tuscan with two new good friends we met onboard. Now I don’t drink beer, wine or wiskey so I sampled thier entire cocktail menu durring the meal. I can’t remeber proportions so I will make a best geus or two over the next couple of nights

El Don Julio

1 1/2 oz Don Julio Reposado, 1/2 oz Lime, 1/2 oz Simple and 1/2oz Créme de Cassis

I’ve used slightly less simple syrup as my mix is 2 to 1 and I’m not sure what the WCB uses.

40ml Cognac (as it happens this is the tail of our bottle from our stay in an RS in Sept last year), 40ml Creme de Cacao Brown and 40 ml Cream. Not forgeting a grate of nutmeg….the perfect pudding.

Day 20 of my lock down cocktail countdown and not a pre dinner cocktail but this time an after dinner cocktail. In memory of my darling mother in law, known to some as Dame Judy. This was her goto at the end of an evening in Michaels Club and I hope to drink one to her memory in July or even October if this vial virus prevails

Fresh from Tokyo

Muddle 3 cubes of Cucumber in a shaker add 50ml Grey Goose, 20ml Yuzu juice and15 ml Simple. shake and strain.

Day 19 of my lock down cocktail countdown. This is my favourite from Luminae and called Fresh from Tokyo.

My Recipie, which I think is fairly close to the original, is….

I get the Yuzu juice online from a Korean foods company (you can get it in Waitrose in the UK but at £9 for 60ml)

Bahama Mama

30ml White Rum, 30ml Coconut Rum, 15ml Dark Rum, 10ml Cherry Herring, 60ml orange juice, 60ml pineapple juice and 10ml lemon juice Shaken with ice then poured into a glass with ice and drizle 10ml of grenadine

Bitter Sweet Garden

50ml Campari, 40ml Tanquery Ten, 20ml Green Chartreuse, 20ml Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato vermouth, 10ml Fernet Branca and 5 ml Maraschino liqueur

Day 17 of my lock down cocktail countdown and here is something a little more complex but absolutely delicious.

Personally I prefer this like a negroni in a rocks glass with 3 or 4 cubes of ice….enjoy

30ml Tanqueray Ten,30ml Midori,30ml Yellow Chartreuse and 30ml lemon juice.

A little odd in it’s mix of ingredients but just like Euphoria surprisingly good.

50ml Don Julio Blanco, 30ml campari, 25 ml lime and 15ml simple syrup

50ml Don Julio Blanco, 30ml Hpnotiq, 20ml Triple Sec, 25 ml lime and 5ml simple syrup.
